Description

Düsenstein Attack SLX

Attack spare part

The Attack SLX nozzle stone is a fireclay brick located in the combustion chamber of the SLX Profi and Lambda wood gasifiers. The combustion nozzle is situated between the combustion chamber and the ash chamber.

The nozzle serves to supply the tertiary air, thus enabling gasification.

The nozzle stone is an Attack replacement part for the SLX Profi and Lambda series versions.

Product information:

  • Boiler output 30 and 35 kW
  • Attack SLX Profi and Lambda versions
  • Original spare part

Fireclay molded part for the combustion chamber

Why does fireclay deteriorate over time?

Due to its high mineral content, fireclay also has a slight disadvantage: it is relatively brittle.

Due to prolonged exposure to high heat, it will eventually develop cracks.

These are initial signs of wear and tear on the material, but not yet a reason for replacement.

Fireclay should only be replaced when parts of the material fall out and the protection of the oven can no longer be guaranteed.

Therefore, the fireclay should always be checked during the maintenance of a fireplace.

Two questions repeatedly arise in this context:

Is a broken firebrick after prolonged use covered by the warranty? No

The combustion chamber lining is treated as a wear part.

Does the stove manufacturer, the chimney sweep, or the dealer have to replace the firebricks?

The same applies here. A clear no.:

The operator of the oven is responsible for the lining of the firebox.

While you could hire a professional, anyone with basic DIY skills can do the replacement themselves. Another piece of good news:

The replacement material is significantly cheaper than you might think.
