Product Overview & Area of Application
The 1.84 kWp balcony solar power kit combines four bifacial Jolywood PV modules with 460 Wp each, a Hoymiles HMS-1600-4T micro-inverter, a 10-meter AC power cable, and the DTU-WLite-S data transmission unit. The total installed DC power is 1,840 Wp, while the micro-inverter provides an AC nominal output of 1,600 VA.
This complete PV package is suitable for planned solar installations on suitable balconies, terraces, flat roofs, outbuildings, or open areas. The mounting system, connection type, and electrical integration must be selected and verified according to the intended installation location.
Technology & Equipment
The Jolywood JW-HD96N-R2-460 modules use n-type J-TOPCon solar cells and are designed as bifacial glass-glass modules. Each module achieves a nominal power of 460 Wp and a module efficiency of 23.0 percent. Thanks to the bifacial design, light striking the rear of the module can also be used for power generation when mounted appropriately.
The Hoymiles HMS-1600-4T is a 4-in-1 micro-inverter designed for connecting up to four PV modules. Four independent MPPT inputs enable separate power regulation for the connected modules. The IP67 housing is intended for outdoor use; cooling is passive via natural convection without fans.
The DTU-WLite-S handles wireless communication with the micro-inverter and transmits operating data to the S-Miles Cloud via WLAN. This allows system status, generation data, and messages to be evaluated via the Hoymiles platform.
Everyday Benefits
Module-level power regulation reduces mutual interference between PV modules under different irradiance conditions. This is particularly helpful during partial shading or when modules are oriented differently.
The fanless inverter operates without mechanically moving cooling components. System monitoring via DTU and S-Miles Cloud makes it easier to monitor power production and helps detect unusual operating conditions early.
System Integration & Compatibility
Each Jolywood module is connected to its own DC input of the HMS-1600-4T. The module specifications are within the input range intended for the inverter. The included 10-meter power cable is used to route the generated AC power on the AC side.
To utilize the bifacial yield potential, the back of the module should not be completely covered. Light or reflective surfaces as well as sufficient rear-side illumination can support the use of the bifacial design. A mounting system and a battery storage unit are not included in the specified package scope.

Mounting
Each PV module measures 1,762 × 1,134 × 30 mm and weighs 24.6 kg. Before mounting, the substructure, attachment points, permissible clamping areas, and local wind and snow loads must be checked. The mounting system used must be suitable for the intended substrate and module dimensions.
The micro-inverter should be mounted protected under the PV modules. A minimum distance of 2 cm must be maintained between the inverter housing and adjacent components for ventilation and heat dissipation. Electrical connection, protection, and commissioning work must be carried out in accordance with local technical requirements.
Notes
PV modules generate DC voltage as soon as they are exposed to light. Therefore, cables, plug connections, and connection components must be checked for damage, correct polarity, and secure fit before mounting and commissioning.
The permitted connection type as well as the required registration and grid operator processes depend on the country of use, the actual inverter configuration, and locally applicable regulations. The rated output power of the included Hoymiles HMS-1600-4T is 1,600 VA.
For operation of the DTU-WLite-S, a suitable power supply with 5 V and 2 A as well as a compatible Wi-Fi connection are required. Batteries or other energy sources must not be connected directly to the PV inputs of the micro-inverter.
