The DOMESTIC HOT WATER heat pump DROPS M4.1 impresses with its highly efficient rotary compressor, which ensures reliable and economical heat recovery. An additional expansion valve guarantees effective and rapid defrosting of the evaporator, while the energy-efficient radial fan ensures optimal air circulation.
The evaporator with a hydrophilic surface is less prone to icing, defrosts effectively, and offers better protection against soiling. An integrated circulation pump with PZH certification guarantees hygienic and safe delivery of domestic hot water. A plate heat exchanger is installed for more direct water heating, and the lightweight, removable plastic housing effectively reduces noise from the cooling system.
Basic Functions
The DROPS M4.1 enables simple and quick indoor installation and is characterized by high energy efficiency. Pressure and temperature protection of the refrigeration system ensure maximum safety, while defrosting of the evaporator via hot gas occurs automatically by reversing the refrigeration circuit.
An automatic frost protection for the water system protects against damage at sub-zero temperatures. Using the integrated weekly schedule, the desired water temperature can be set for different times, and an optional connection to a photovoltaic system is possible via a potential-free contact.
The control unit manages an external electric heater installed in the tank as well as the domestic hot water circulation pump according to a time program. All components that come into contact with domestic hot water are PZH-certified and meet the highest hygiene standards.
Installation and Operation
The heat pump is operated via a manual control with a graphic display (M) or optionally with an intuitive color touch panel (D). The user-friendly interface allows quick adjustment of all operating parameters and a clear display of temperatures and time programs.
Thanks to adjustable feet, the DROPS M4.1 can be easily installed on any level surface. The removable plastic housing allows quick access to the components and also helps reduce noise, ensuring particularly quiet operation.
Technical data
The heat pump has a diameter of 661 mm and a height of 585 mm with an air duct diameter of 250 mm. Connections are made with ¾" female thread, and the refrigerant R134a is used in a fill quantity of 0.60 kg. Water or a water-glycol mixture up to 50% serves as the heat transfer medium at a maximum water pressure of 6 bar.
Operation is possible in the temperature range from –7 °C to +43 °C, and the maximum hot water temperature is 55 °C. With a sound power level of 57 dB, a voltage of 1/N/PE ~220–240 V/50 Hz, and a COP of 3.0 (A15/W10-55) or 3.3 (A20/W10-55), the DROPS M4.1 achieves energy class A+. The nominal heat output is 1.5 kW, and the total weight is 45 kg.
