Installation note:
Devices with a connection value of 230V are delivered with a Schuko plug or a fixed connection (without plug) depending on the power rating. In the case of a fixed connection, a qualified specialist company must be commissioned with the installation.
For devices with a connection value of 400V, a heavy-current connection (three-phase alternating current connection) is required. Installation may only be carried out by a registered specialist company, and the approval of the respective grid operator must be obtained before initial installation.
For devices with a rated output of more than 12 kW, you require the approval of your grid operator. Please contact the grid operator or an installation company registered in the grid operator's installer directory for installation. This installation company will also assist you in obtaining the required approval from the respective grid operator.
Note on fixed electric space heaters:
In accordance with the EU Ecodesign Directive 2009/125/EC, Regulation 2015/1188 was adopted to establish requirements for the environmentally friendly design of space heaters. Installation and commissioning of electric space heaters is only permitted in combination with an external room temperature control that fulfills the following functions:
- Weekly scheduling
- Window-open detection and/or adaptive control of heating start.
You can find suitable room temperature controllers (thermostats) in our accessories section. We will be happy to advise you in detail on this topic and put together a suitable package for you.
What special feature applies to portable devices?
For portable electric space heaters, we would like to point out: "These products are only suitable for well-insulated rooms or for occasional use."
